About this course
(Intermediate) 6-weeks of wheel throwing designed for those individuals who are already acclimated with wheel throwing, but want to further their skills and take it to the next level. - 25 lbs of clay - 6-weeks of 2.5 hours of instruction - Unlimited use of the studio during open studio hours - Firing fees - Glazes Curriculum: Week 1: Forms and Sets Explore forms and discuss techniques for achieving sets Week 2: Height and Manipulation Cover techniques for achieving height and altering pieces Week 3: Finishing Details Discover ways to finalize a form through attachments, handles, lids and foot rings Week 4: Decorative Consider underglaze and glaze application through the lens of form, function or decoration. Week 5: Work Day (Trimfest) Week 6: Work Day (Glaze-a-thon)
